Job Responsibilities

  • Directly responsible for safety and for the quality of construction of the project and completion of the project on schedule, and with the cooperation of the Project Manager, within budget.

  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors efforts to maintain quality control, schedule, and cost objectives

  • Ensure that all projects maintain a shared work environment that works effectively with customers, subcontractors, and across divisions to support key activities.

  • Maintain and assist with continuous improvement and cost reductions

  • Enforce subcontract performance so that on-site work will comply with the contract

  • Establish quality inspection procedures and criteria or provide through use of a testing laboratory service.

  • To prepare construction schedule and perform regular updates during the course of construction.

  • Conduct weekly subcontractor coordination meetings and prepare notes for distribution and file.

  • Assist Project Manager in determining the effects of change orders and delays on the schedule.

  • Complete BlueScope Construction “daily report” objectively.

  • Maintain accurate record of field surveys, drafting, and recording of changes or deviations from contract drawings to retain as “as-built” documents.

    Insure compliance with Federal, State, County and City Building Codes, Laws and Ordinances. Insure the necessary permits and inspections are obtained.

    Insure document control is being performed on contract documents as well as samples, submittals and shop drawings. Maintain a current up-to-date set of contract drawings and specs in the field office.

Work Experience

  • 5-7 years of construction field experience in all construction disciplines
  • Experience with complex Turnkey projects such as Industrial and/or commercial, large warehouse construction, large hangar projects, data centers

  • Experience in developing and maintaining strong customer relationships


  • 2 or 4 year degree in related field preferred

  • OSHA 30 hour

  • Experience with LEED a plus

Skills Required

  • CPM scheduling knowledge and schedule management skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and navigating/utilizing systems

Additional Job Information

  • Project durations are anywhere from 6 months to year.

  • Must be willing to travel. Extensive travel to various project sites across the United States once initial project is complete.
