Manage the cost estimating functions from design through construction for the Engineering and Construction Division by ensuring that FTA and TriMet cost mandates are followed to ensure successful and timely completion of capital and operating projects. Ensure the estimating database is properly monitored and updated. Supervise cost estimating staff work performed by consultant/contractor or TriMet personnel.  Lead, coordinate and manage special project work team(s). Ensure a commitment to safety through consistent and professional behaviors in performance of job requirements that demonstrate safety is a fundamental value that guides all aspects of our work. Perform related duties as required.

Position Requirements:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or Construction Management or closely related field.

A minimum of ten (10) years total credited experience.*  General construction/engineering project management experience, with six years of experience in project cost control procedures, construction cost management and estimating. Experience with federally funded projects and standard cost categories.

Experience with cost estimating software programs, such as HeavyBid and BlueBeam.
Master’s degree in same fields and/or registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Oregon, and light rail/transit-related construction cost estimating experience is highly desirable.
PMP or CMAA certification desired.
Or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Salary Range:
Minimum: $90,748.00
Midpoint: $113,435.00
Maximum $136,122.00

Salary Type: Per Year

Salary Range: $90,000-$110,000
